SANGUEM: A driver and a cleaner of a concrete mixing cement truck were injured after the vehicle fell on its side at Costi-Sanguem.
It is learnt that the vehicle was taken for work at Kalay Railway Station and the driver-cleaner duo was returning home after completing the day’s work.
However, on reaching at Costi in Kalay Panchayat, the driver lost control and the vehicle fell on its side. Both the driver and the cleaner were trapped inside the vehicle and were rescued by the villagers.
The injured were shifted to the nearby Curchorem Cacora Urban Health Centre for treatment.
Curchorem Police conducted the panchanama. Further investigation is in progress.
