Yolanda de Sousa needs no introduction when it comes to football in Goa. A renowned footballer in
Goa till 1981, she scored a hat-trick for the country and was awarded the
Player of the Decade in 1980. Hence it comes as no surprise that the artist
within Yolanda can’t stay away from the biggest football tournament, World Cup.
This year, she watched every match closely and painted key moments, sometimes
even during the match, which then formed her collection. The exhibition was
held at Art Chamber, Calangute.
