Reuben, Pratik, Sairaj, Joy, Paarth in joint lead

CHICALIM: Reuben Colaco of Salcete Taluka Chess Association (STCA) has retained his seed by scoring three points from three round in the all-Goa open chess championship/selections held at Regina Mundi School, Chicalim, on Friday.
Reuben beat Nagvekar Sairudra in the third round with white pieces.
On the second board Sairaj Vernakar of Salcete Taluka outwitted Suyash Naik Gaonkar of Canacona Taluka and Pratik Borkar of Tiswadi Taluka defeated Skandhaj Kotha of Mourmugao Taluka to maintain lead along with Kakodkar Joy, Paarth Salvi and Vivaan Ballikar on 3 points.
In  the Girls category AIM Sayuri Naik of Bardez Taluka beat Raikar Sampada to score 3 points. Girija Pednekar ACM, Srilaxmi Kamat, Sayyed Mahdiya,Varada Naik are among the others who are on full points. 
The 4th round will be played on May 19, at 9.30 a.m.
