VASCO: The refurbished SAG’s Tilak Maidan in Vasco will be inaugurated on April 4 at 4 p.m. by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar in the presence of Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar, Jose Luis Carlos Almeida, MLA, Georgina Fiola Rego, chairperson, Mormugao Municipal Council.
The refurbishment has given a new look to the stadium as per the FIFA guidelines. It is equipped with medical and dope rooms, referees, players changing room, VIP lounge, commentators room, public address system with 2000 watts speakers, broadcast room, arena lighting with 1,800 lux.
The inaugural programme will be followed by the I-League football match between Salgaocar FC and Prayag United at 6.30 p.m.
