Mickky inducted into Su-Raj, to contest from Nuvem

MARGAO: Goa Su-Raj Party on Friday inducted former Nuvem MLA Mickky Pacheco into the party. Mickky will be the life member of the party now and will contest from Nuvem as the party candidate.

MARGAO: Goa Su-Raj Party on Friday inducted former Nuvem MLA Mickky Pacheco into the party. Mickky will be the life member of the party now and will contest from Nuvem as the party candidate. 
GSRP also released its election manifesto for the 2017 Goa assembly elections which has promises of Special Status to Goa and support for Goenchi Mati mining policy. GSRP has decided to contest 30 seats.
The GSRP has promised a monthly dole of Rs 10,000 to each family by enforcing of the mining policy of ‘Goenchi Mati’ if voted to power. 
“The main issues that GSRP will take to the people are the ill effects of the Mopa airport, nationalisation of the Goan rivers, illegal mining wealth, unemployment of Goan youth and rampant destruction of Fields and Forests,” said Inacio Vas of GSRP.
He also announced that GSRP has already started final screening of the candidates for the coming elections and the first batch of names will be released in the next few days.
Inacio Vas also added that for 16 years they maintained the party and had lately realised that to run a party there needs a face who has to be influential. 
“We will run as a Goans party. No high command. Goans have to vote for Goan parties. There are many regional parties and we have kept the options of aligning the party with other regional parties open,” Inacio said. GSRP has extended its support to the Goenchi Mati movement.
The GSRP has also extended its support to Fr Eremito’s anti-Mopa movement.
