PANJIM: GVM’s GGPR College, Ponda, defeated Goa College of Arts, Altinho-Panjim, by 99 runs in the inaugural match of Inter-Collegiate Cricket Championship 2023-24 for Men organised by Goa University at its cricket ground, Taleigao Plateau, on Thursday.
Goa College of Arts won the toss and elected to bowl. In the first innings: GVM’s GGPR College scored 218/8 in 20 overs. Pratham V 49 (35) not out, Jagdish Somji 48 (24), Nikhil A 2/45, Rohan B 2/34.

In the second innings: Goa College of Art managed to score 119/10 in 17.2 overs.Nikhil A 20 (20), Tribhavan S 14(10), Ravi Jaiswal 3/32 and Ved P 2/13.
Pratham Vaidhya 49 (35) not out (GVM’s GGPR College) was the highest scorer, while Ravi Jaiswal 3/32 (GVM’s GGPR College) was the highest wicket taker.
