MARGAO: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has detained a wanted criminal from Rajasthan and handed him over to the Konkan Railway Police. The alleged accused, identified as Rakesh Patel, is wanted in several theft cases across India, including Haryana and Goa.
According to sources in the RPF, their staff spotted a person jumping from a train. The staff apprehended him and brought him to the Tivim Railway Station, where he received first aid.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the alleged accused had snatched a purse containing valuables from the moving train and then jumped off. The RPF officer contacted the complainant, and after verification, it was confirmed that Rakesh was responsible for the purse snatching.
The police mentioned that Rakesh was seen handing over the purse to two other individuals at the railway station, but despite a search, they could not be found.
