PANJIM: Minister for Rural Development Francisco (Mickky) Pacheco may finally get a clean which in the Nadia Torrado case, with Crime Branch submitting a closure report to the trial court giving him a clean chit.
Sources say that the Crime Branch sleuths have relied on the dying declaration of 28-year-old Torrado who said she mistook rat poison (Ratol tube) for toothpaste. But the report is not clear on the 11 bruises on her body which were listed in the autopsy report.
Besides her dying declaration, the closure report contains statements of other witnesses, medical report and forensic report of electronic gadgets such as computer hard disks and mobile phone records of the victim.
Mickky was booked for abetment to suicide while Nadia’s mother, Sonia, was arrested for destruction of evidence and other charges under the Indian Penal Code.
