Bihar native held for assault on tourist

CANACONA: One Navlej Rajvanshi, a Bihar native, was arrested by Canacona police for hitting a British female tourist with a wooden rib in which she was injured. 
In her complaint to the police, Michaela Wren, 34, said that she and her male friend were dancing to music at a restaurant at the northern end of Palolem which is famous amongst foreign tourists on the night of Tuesday, when suddenly the accused dashed against the victim, to which her male friend reprimanded the accused. 
Unable to bear the perceived insult, he hit the female tourist with a wooden rib. Rajvanshi, 35, is a resident of Gangabara, Matkur in Bihar, but presently working as a waiter in a reputed restaurant at Palolem.
