PORVORIM: Stating that elected representatives need to set a precedent by strictly following rules and regulations, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Tuesday said he will do away with the use of loudspeakers at public meetings or events after 10pm.
“I have decided not to speak on mike after 10pm. In fact, I have already started saying no. Once it becomes ten I put off the mike… there is this rule,” Parrikar informed the State Legislative Assembly pointing to the restriction on use of loudspeakers or loud music post 10pm.
“We are elected representatives of the people and we need to set an example, we cannot break rules and regulations,” he said.
