Shrikant Sawant netted a brace as Xetrapal Sports Club defeated Holy Cross Sports Club, Arambol 3-1 in GFA’s Third Division at Siolim ground on Monday. Xetrapal were leading at the break.
Shrikant opened the scoring in the 15th minute, but the lead did not last long as Cyril Rodriguese equalised at the other end after restart.
After the breather, Shrikant netted his second to restore Xetrapal’s lead. In the 50th Bradley Lobo extended Xetrapal’s goal tally.
At Taleigao ground, Aivao Youth Club overcame Aivao United 5-0. Elton Fernandes opened the scoring in the 32nd, before Agnel Cabral doubled the lead eight minutes later.
In the second half, Vinayak Shrevaikar made it 3-0. Gawas Tanashram, Agnel scored.
At Cansaulim ground, Salgaocar Sports Club Juniors continued their unbeaten run, defeating Cortalim Villagers 4-0. Aliston Fernandes scored a brace and Turnard Fernandes and Jason Pereira added one each.
