Efforts by election authorities to conduct the polls by providing facilitation centre to voters came in for praise from all quarters.
Voters at many booths appreciated the election staff and the arrangements made during the voting process.
Many voters were benefited by the voters facilitation centres set up near each booth. Even wheel chairs were provided to the handicapped voters to enter inside the booths.
At some polling stations, small pandals were erected and voters took shelter under these shades during rain. However at a few booths, the small sheds erected could not accommodate all voters during the rain.
Voters complained that they preferred to run to nearby houses to take shelter when it was raining and came back again to the polling station when the rain stopped.
Interestingly, former VMC councilors and candidates for the forthcoming municipal election were seen actively monitoring the situation near every booth in VMC area.
and some were busy in wooing their voters to vote them in forthcoming municipal election.
