PANJIM: An unbeaten century from Vishambar Kahlon helped Chowgule (GCA) reach 296 against Geno (GCA) on day 2 of the Goa Premier League match held at Goa Cricket Academy, on Friday.
Chowgule won the toss and elected to bat. K Kar and Vaibhav Govekar opened the batting for Chowgule. Kar scored 36 off 49 balls before being bowled clean by Satyajeet Bachhav. Vaibhav managed to score 26 off 29 before being sent back to the pavilion by Sagar Naik. Vishambar Kahlon scored an unbeaten 101 off 214 balls and was supported by Mukund Bandodkar who scored a half century.
The Geno bowler didn’t allow the batsmen to gain much momentum as Satyajeet Bachhav managed to take a 5 wicket-haul while Sangram Atitkar picked up 2 wickets.
At stumps, Geno were on 51 for no loss with Sangram (36) and Prathamesh (14) at the crease. Geno trail by 245 runs.
In another match, Dempo were bundled out for 451 on day 2 against Salgaoncar at Goa Cricket Academy ground, Sanguem. At stumps, Swapnil Asnodkar (16) and skipper Amogh Desai (9) were at the crease.
