Rape accused gets 7 days custody

MARGAO: Margao Town police on Friday got an extension in police custody of a rape accused who was arrested by the police after he had fled from Goa after committing the crime. 
They were granted additional seven days custody of Mohammad Isak, who was arrested in the alleged case of a rape of a minor while his brother Jabbar Ahmed, who had taken the gold from the girl’s flat is already in judicial lock up as his bail application was rejected.
Meanwhile, in a separate case, Margao police registered a case of unnatural death on Friday. The body of an unknown man was found near the Rawanfond junction off the road and the person is suspected to have died at least a week ago as the body was in a decomposing state. The person is believed to be aged between 35 to 45 years.
Carvalho Murder case: Accused remand extended
Maina Curtorim Police have extended the remand of Joyle Graca and Orfin Colaco for additional eight days to police custody, who were arrested for murdering 33 years old Francisco Carvalho from Manora, Raia, recently.
The other four arrested earlier are Royan Alvares, tiatrist Vilton Coutinho, Melburn Coutinho and Valencio.
