BICHOLIM: The Sanquelim Municipal Council (SMC) has issued notices to traders directing them to obtain trade licence before October 2 or face action.
Through a notice, SMC has stated that there are some business establishments which are operating without trade licence from the municipality. “Trade licence is mandatory requirement for operating any business office as per the provision of Goa Municipalities Act 1968. Therefore, the owners of such business establishments, offices are informed to apply for trade licence before the council before October 2,” the notice reads as.
The notice also warns of hefty fine if the trade license is not taken.
Meanwhile, the municipality has resolved to ban the use of plastic.
