MAPUSA: Kyle Ticlo, the son of Aldona MLA, who was arrested in Belgaum for causing an accident resulting in the death of two sisters on Monday, was released on bail by a local court on Tuesday.
When contacted, Aldona MLA Glenn Ticlo confirmed that the accident did occur on Monday evening. However, he said that the accident was not result of his son’s fault; the victims caused confusion by running across the National Highway.
“Kyle has been released on bail after a bond was signed. The procedure is being followed and the investigation is in progress,” Ticlo said.
The luxury car belonging to the BJP MLA and was driven by his son when the accident took place.
Ticlo voluntarily informed that he has filed a counter complaint against unknown persons for damaging his BMW 530 D after the accident.
Meanwhile, the victims of the accident are identified as Tainiyat Wahid Bisti and her sister; Tainiyat died on the spot, while Samrin succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital.
