MARGAO: Yet another flat was reportedly broken into at Aquem, Margao on Sunday night. However, no complaint has been registered as the flat owners were abroad. Police were not in a position to disclose what was stolen from the flat as there was nobody to countercheck.
Incidentally, Margao has been gripped by a spate of robberies during the past few days and of late the robbers have changed their modus operandi and seem to be targeting unoccupied houses and flats.
Police, who have voiced their helplessness due to shortage of staff, have been unable to get a breakthrough in any of the cases reported so far.
Meanwhile, Maina Curtorim police are still clueless about who was responsible for damaging the two crosses in their jurisdiction on Sunday night.
