FATORDA: Kalasagar Cricket Club defeated Ghumetshwar Cricket Club by two wickets and moved into the semi-final of the Babu Brothers SAG Cup match held at outside PJN ground on Thursday.
Ghumetshwar scored 157 runs scored with a loss of 7wickets in 20 overs.
Ghumetshwar Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first. Swapnil Malik scored 26 runs, Prathmesh Naik (39), Rajeshwar Harimat (39), and Srinivas Fadte (21) were the top scorers for Ghumetshwar CC.
Audoot Amonkar and Yash Prabhakar of Kalasagar CC picked two wickets each while Prashant Naik, Abhishek Pandya claimed a wicket each.
In reply, Kalasagar scored 158 runs in 19.1 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Rajan Dhamaskar (31),Vithal Naik (29) and Manlk Khutikar (34) were the major contributors.
Rajan Dhamaskar of Kalasagar was named as the man-of-the-match.
In another match Pappu XI defeated Blizzards SC by 8 wickets,
Pappu XI scored 69 runs for loss of one wicket while Blizzards SC scored 68 runs and were all out in 16.1 overs.
