90% GIM students placed in Phase 1 of campus recruitment

Institute claims that the consistency in track record of placements has put it in top league of B-Schools in India

PANJIM: Goa Institute of Management (GIM) claims an exceptionally good placement season for the 2013-15 batch of PGDM students as over 90 percent of the students have been placed in different companies in Phase 1 of campus recruitment.
Placements Chairman Prof Umesh Mahtani said the highest placement package offered this year was around Rs 16 lakh. In addition to this, 22 students received pre-placement offers based on the work they had done during their summer internship.
“The diversity in the companies that visited GIM shows the Institute is now well-recognized across sectors as a source for high-quality talent,” he said.
This year saw a record 21 new companies participating in campus placements with 55 recruiting companies. GIM now claims that the consistency in the track record of placements has put them in the top league of B-Schools in India.
Meanwhile, the Health Care Management (HCM) programme that was recently started has been well received by recruiters. The second batch is also on the way to 100 percent placement after the first batch graduated with this record.
The HCM programme was started in 2013 at Ribandar campus and in 2016 will be moved to the Sankhali campus.
