MERCES: Though the BJP is yet to officially announce the candidature of MP Shripad Naik for the forthcoming LS election, State BJP Vice-President Anil Hoble has gone ahead in claiming that Naik will be the BJP candidate for North Goa.
Hoble made the statement at a meeting organized to distribute Gruha Aadhaar sanction forms at the Chimbel Panchayat, where he requested voters to support Shripad Naik as BJP would field him in North.
Later, when Herald questioned whether his statement was also the party’s official stand, Hoble said it was his personal opinion but expressed confidence that Naik would be the BJP’s candidate in North Goa.
