UTORDA: Sporting Clube de Goa blanked FC Goa 2-0 in the AIFF U-18 Youth League played at Sports Authority of Goa ground Utorda, on Tuesday.
Sporting Clube de Goa colts dominated the proceeding initially and enjoyed the better ball possession. The Flaming Oranje had a chance to surge ahead but striker Ifran Yadwad ‘s rasping shot narrowly missed the target.
Sporting Clube de Goa’s sense of urgency was evident and in the 70th minute Ifran Yadwad unleashed a blistering shot which had no answer from the rival keeper. Sporting Clube de Goa sealed the rival fate in the 85th minute when Rohit Shankar Totad punished the rival goalkeeper with a neat finish off Richard Cardozo’s assist. Lakesh Gawas had good outing for winners as he stood tall in protecting their citadel intact.
