PANJIM: The tourist taxi operators have once again set a deadline to scrap the GoaMiles, app-based taxi service. On Tuesday, the taxi operators met Transport Director Rajan Satardekar demanding withdrawing permissions to GoaMiles within one month.
The taxi operators warned that the State government will be responsible if there is any law and order problem next month, as they will come on the streets with their families with their demand.
Satardekar, on the other hand, said that government is serious about protecting the interest of Goans.
Last month, hundreds from taxi association marched to the office of Transport Director demanding cancelling licence of GoaMiles.
Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho had stated that GoaMiles will soon come under the purview of Transport Department.
