DAMON-RAIA: Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda registered a solitary goal win over Our Lady of Perpetual Convent High School Navelim to lift the 4th Edition of Fr Peter SVD Memorial trophy, organised by SVD Mission Seminary in association with SVD Friends Association, at SVD Seminary ground, Damon-Raia, on Saturday.
Rosary striker Malcom N Pereira netted the match-winner with a placement shot off Amat R Hanabaratti’s connect.
The winners were awarded Rs 21,000 while the runners up had to settle for Rs15,000 plus trophies.
Churchil Alemao GFA president and MLA of Benaulim constituency was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Fr.Conceicao Silva, parish priest of Our Lady of Snows church, Raia, Anthony Leo Fernandes, Sarpanch of VP Colva, John Silva, Babush S Coelho (GFA Executive members), Francis DeSouza, Fr Joaquim, Fr Salvador, Stafon and other dignitaries.
