RAIA: Holy Cross, Vaddie, triumphed over Pedda Boys with a narrow 2-1 win, while hosts Alpha Boys edged out UC Benaulim 4-3 vie tie-breaker to march into semi-finals of the inter-ward football tournament organised by Abuja Boys, at Vaddie ground, Benaulim, on Tuesday.
Both the matches delivered thrilling action and intense competition.

Jerico set the pace for Holy Cross by netting the first goal in the 10th minute. However, Pedda Boys’ Josbern quickly leveled the score in the 20th minute. The decisive moment came when Cayden scored the winning goal in the 25th minute, securing Holy Cross’ place in the semi-finals. Cayden’s exceptional performance earned him the man-of-the-match award.
Alpha Boys edged out UC Benaulim in a dramatic 4-3 penalty shoot-out. Both teams displayed formidable defence and skill, but neither could score during the regulation time.
The tension peaked in the tie-breaker, where Alpha Boys showcased superior shooting accuracy to clinch their semi-final spot. Despite UC Benaulim’s loss, Android Pinto’s outstanding efforts on the field earned him the man-of-the-match award.
