Anish Quenim, Goa Rugby President and Touch Federation of India Vice President said, “Over the past one year, Goa Rugby through its society “Goa Touch” has reached out to over 25,000 Goans and taught them the game, along with all the values the sports brings to the field.”
Goa Rugby has introduced 100 schools, colleges, police and fire departments, corporates, tourists, churches, community, villages etc to the game of rugby. Goa Rugby which is managed by the Sports Enterprise “BanquetSPORTS” has now set its eyes on ensuring India’s Qualification for the “Touch World Cup 2019” scheduled to be played in Malaysia.
Goa Rugby spearheaded the growth of the game of “Touch” in Goa and has also been instrumental in starting the development across the country, in turn earning project “GoaAmche” which is the project launched by BanquetSPORTS to assist Goa Rugby and Goa Touch.
Goa Rugby will be organizing the biggest rugby tournament in December at Nehru Stadium, Fatorda which will include Goa Schools Touch League and Goa Touch League that’ll showcase the talent of Goa’s top players both girls and boys in various categories.
