In a public transport, almost eight seats have been reserved for ladies. However it has been noticed that this reservation has been over-looked and almost neglected. On many occasions, men occupy the ladies seats. In case any women happens to vacate her seat, men, mostly the youths occupy the empty seat at once without showing any consideration to fellow women who remain in standing position at that moment. The bus-conductors hardly exhibit any interest in this regard. It is necessary that women uphold their rights and question men who occupy the ladies seats at any instance. The bus conductors should also see to it that reservation of seats is adhered to and not neglected at any moment. The RTO authorities should take a serious view of this matter.
