MAPUSA: Goan Warriors Sports Club stormed into the final of the GFA’s 3rd Division-Bardez Zone, as they registered 3-1 over PVC Parra, organised by GFA, played at Duler Stadium here on Tuesday.

After much probing, Goan Warriors Loyed Mascarenhas after having dribbled past three of the rival defenders and the Parra keeper sent a perfect pass to Craig Menezes who guided the ball into the empty goal, 1-0.
In the 30th minute Goan Warriors further extended their lead when PVC keeper move outside the 18-yard box off a floater from Rohan where Tukaram chipped the ball into the unguarded goal, 2-0.
On resumption of play Goan Warriors Loyed once again dribbled past couple of Parra defenders and found Craig inside the penalty box but the latter shot wide.
Another chance went in vain for Goan Warriors when Loyed dribbled past a host of rival defenders and latched a power-packed right footer which hit the defender and travelled out.
Parra’s goal came in the 79th minute, when Goan Warriors keeper failed to judge the flight of a cross and the ball fell at the feet of Alister Fernandes who tapped it into the goal, 2-1.
In the 89th minute Rohan sent a through pass to substitute Raju who after covering some ground passed the ball to Craig, who guided the ball into the empty Parra goal, 3-1.
