PANJIM: Members, players and ex-players of Margao Basketeers today held a meeting with the Principal of Loyola High School to review the possibility of reviving the club.
The main objective of reviving the club is to ensure the development of the sport in South Goa, specially in Margao, now that the Goa Basketball Association is back in action and kicking.
Senior basket ball players from Margao would dedicate their time to motivate young boys and raise the bar in the quality of the game in Margao, it was decided.
The members and players have decided to meet once again on October 24th at Loyola High School at 7,30 p.m to discuss the further course of action. Those who are directly involved in basketball and are keen to develop this game can attend the meeting. An executive committee will be formed to carry out duties according to the constitution.
Ex-members of Margao Basketeers (Men and Ladies) including players will also be attending the meeting.
