CANACONA: Two family members of the two COVID-19 patients on Sunday tested positive for the infection in Canacona, taking the tally of cases to 17 in the taluka, officials said.
The number of active cases in Canacona now stands 12 as 5 patients have recovered so far, they said. Dr Vandana Desai said the results of 40 samples were received on Sunday. Among these, 2 new cases were detected, while 38 tested negative. The fresh cases include one family member each of the male COVID-19 patients, who are employed at Verna Industrial Estate and were tested positive on Saturday,.
