MARGAO: Bharatiya Janata Party today announced a 36 member Margao Mahila Morcha committee. BJP named Tanuja Rasik Paiguinkar as president and Sonal Mhapsekar as the general secretary of the newly formed wing.

Interestingly there are only three Christian ladies in the 36-member committee and not a single Muslim lady included.
When asked on this to Margao BJP president Rupesh Mahatme, he said, “Muslims are there in the minority cell but not in the Mahila Morcha.” He did not comment on the presence of only three catholic women in the committee.
Margao Mahila Morcha also have two migrants or settlers.
