Electric poles left in the middle of Mandrem road, a risk to vehicles

PERNEM: This road, which always remains busy with the vehicles, may one day lead to someone’s death if the electricity polls from it are not removed.
Mandrem is a busy village since it has Mandrem beach which is a tourist’s destination. The same road leads to other beaches and villages via the village such as Arambol, Keri and Tiracol.
Being one of the tourist destinations, the roads leading to Mandrem village as well as other locations can be always seen busy with traffic movement. For the past many years the roads here have not been completely hot-mixed but are only maintained doing some patch works.
Since the patch work by the PWD is in progress, the situation of roads is not so bad. Along with patch work even this road from Agarwada to Keri has been widened, especially at the major turns but these broadened turns are also not hot-mixed properly. The PWD has only widened them with a first layer of concrete.
With widening of these turns, the major curves are at Junsawada near garden, after Panchakrushi Higher Secondary and before the Aronda Bridge. The PWD has cleared their hands by putting a single layer of concrete mix but there is not sign of hot mixing this road. Along with widening, the other major problem is that the Electricity Department has failed to shift the power street poles. They have already changed the wiring from old poles to new and have also put up LED lights but the old poles still exist and are occupying half of the road (see pic).
There are two electricity poles at the Junsawada near a garden. These roads lead to Arambol and these poles are just at the turn. Also the distance between these poles is so much that a not only a tour wheeler but even a four wheeler can pass through.
Also there is no signboard warning of the imminent danger, which could be helpful for people, especially during the night. These roads are used by people, specially tourists 24×7.
The poles are lying in the middle of the roads for many months now. With so many accidents taking place last week all over Goa, this stretch of road may see the next if the concerned authorities do not take immediate action and shift the poles at the earliest.
