CAVELOSSIM: Margao SC defeated SC Davorlim 5-4 via the tie-breaker to move into the final of the Cavelossim Panchayat Cup and organised by Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim, at Cavelossim ground, on Wednesday.
Davorlim took the lead in through Agnelo Colaco in the 29th minute after reciving a fine through pass from Abhay Shetty who easily placed the ball to the left side of goal to beat the rival keeper Swizel Pereira.
In the second half, Margao mounted pressure and succeeded in scoring a goal through Valito Miranda.
In quick succession, Margao again came up with two great moves but it was well intercepted by the Davorlim keeper Sachin Astekar.
Both the teams missed equal number of chances but failed to forge ahead.
In the penalty shoot-out, Rocky, Valito, Edgar, Cliff scored for Margao while Veson, Abhay, Paxton scored for Davorlim.
Margao keeper Swizel Pereira was the star of the match.
Margao SC will now meet Navelim Sporting in the final on November 10.
