CANACONA: Excise Department officials led by Deputy Commissioner Chandrashekhar Desai seized illegal alcohol worth Rs 30,400 at the Polem check post, on Wednesday.
Desai stated that the container was proceeding to Karnataka with the illegal contraband in the wee hours of Wednesday. The container transports pizza from Bengaluru and distributes it in various parts of Goa. While going back, alcohol bottles were put in the pizza trays.
