MARGAO: The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee minority department on Monday demanding sacking of Sudip Tamhankar from the party membership, accusing him of dreaming to take over the GPCC reigns.
Addressing the media, GPCC minority department convenor Kalim Pathan, mahila general secretary Reshma Sayed and other maintained that Tamhankar has no respect for senior party members, while accusing him of working like a BJP agent by providing all information to them.
“He had simply said that he has resigned from his present post as party general secretary to take media mileage and sympathy of the people. Within a year, he is now dreaming of becoming the PCC president”, Pathan.
He said the party made a mistake by giving him a place in the party, who doesn’t know how to work for the party. “Before blaming the GPCC president Subhash Shirodkar, Tamhankar should look at his own background”, he said, while saying that complaint in this respect has been made to the AICC general secretary in-charge of Goa Digvijai Singh and Secretary Chella Kumar.
He said the minority department will lead a delegation to Rahul Gandhi to keep away local leaders who are not working for the party, but are demanding funds to work for Lok Sabha polls.
