MARGAO: Goan girls blanked Uttarakhand girls 7-0 in the Junior Girls National Football Championship, held at Cuttack, in Orissa, on Wednesday.
Despite of the win, Goa now have to win their ultimate group match against West Bengal who are currently topping the group with superior goal difference.
Goan girls making their intentions clear to score goals netted in the second minute when Somaya intercepted a loose ball and dribbled past two defenders before slamming the ball past the helpless keeper.
In the 7th minute, Somaya played an aerial cross to Khusboo who made it 2-0.
Goan girls controlled the midfield and this time jozima played an inch perfect pass to to Rezilla Cia who made no mistake to make it 3-0.
Somaya made a run and took a shot at goal which the rival keeper spilled and Jozima was quickest to react to nod in the fourth.
Changing over, Chelsea scored the fifth while Flavina scored the sixth. Chelsea once again came close to scoring but her effort lacked the power.
Khusboo scored her second from a cross by Chelsea to make 7-0 for Goa
