Kings XI win ITPI Trophy

MAPUSA, APRIL 26 Kings XI won the ITPI Rolling Trophy trouncing Lions XI in the finals of limited overs tennisball cricket tournament organised by Institute of Town Planners of India (Goa Chapter) at SAG ground Campal, Panjim on Sunday.

Kings XI won the ITPI Rolling Trophy trouncing Lions XI in the finals of limited overs tennisball cricket tournament organised by Institute of Town Planners of India (Goa Chapter) at SAG ground Campal, Panjim on Sunday.
ITPI in association with Town and Country Planning Department organised a cricket league which comprised four teams: Kings XI belonging to Headquarters Town and Country Planning Department, headed by Chief Town Planner Muradh Ahmed, Tiger XI, headed by Senior Town Planner of South Goa, S.T. Kuttaraju., Lions XI, headed by North Goa Town Planner James Mathew,. Knights XI team, comprising players  belonging to all the PDAs.
The first match was played between Kings XI and Tiger XI, which Kings won by 8 wickets.
Scoreboard: Tiger XI: 65 for 7 in 10 overs. Darshan 14, Shekhar Tuenkar 24.
Kings XI: 67 for 1.
The 2nd match was played between Lions XI and Knights XI, which was won by Lions by 2 runs.
Kings XI received the rolling trophy at the hands of  Prof Ashish Rege of Goa College of Architecture, while the runners-up were handed over the trophy by Snehlata Pednekar treasurer of ITPI (Goa Chapter).
