Sanjay to represent India at Online Chess Olympiad

PANJIM: Goa’s International arbiter and SAG senior chess coach Sanjay Kavlekar has been selected to represent Indian team for 1st FIDE Online Chess Olympiad for people with disabilities organised by the FIDE (World Chess Federation) commission for the disabled from November 20 to December 3.

President of GCA, Power Minister, Nilesh Cabral, Executive Director SAG  Vasant Prabhudessai,  Jt. Director of Coaching Bruno Cutinho and Treasurer All India Chess Federation Kishor Bandekar congratulated Sanjay Kavlekar on this proud occasion.

Kavlekar, among the best players, has played 7 nationals till date under All India Chess Federation for the blind. 

He achieved International FIDE Chess Rating (1947) in the year 2006 and played National A Championship for the blind in the year 2008 and 2018.
