PANJIM: The cyclonic storm-‘Asani’ developed overnight over the Bay of Bengal, will have no severe weather impact over Goa.
However, the westerly components of winds in the lower levels of the atmosphere in Goa might bring rains for the State from around May 10 onwards.
States like Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Bengal are facing the brunt the cyclonic storm is set to intensify in the next 24 hours.
IMD Goa observatory in-charge Rahul said that cyclonic storm will have no severe weather impact over Goa.
He said that the presence and movement of cyclone might give light rain over the South western coast during these 4-5 days.
