SS Angle HSS excel in athletics

Satyawati Soiru Angle Higher Secondary, Mashem-Canacona won the team championship securing 31 points at the recently concluded 35th State mini, secondary and higher secondary schools athletics championship organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Nehru Stadium, Fatorda.
The boys under-19 team won the boys championship. The following students excelled –
Glemy Dias and Sunil Velip bagged the gold medal in 10,000m and Glenny Dias 5km walk.
Suprash Velip, Suresh Velip, Suvesh Velip, Shiddesh Pagi and Gurudas Gaonkar bagged the silver in 5km walk, triple jump, 1500m, hammer throw and 800m.
Dilkush Zaro, Jeet Painguinkar, Krishna Naik claimed bronze in 5km, high jump, hammer throw.
The Principal, staff and management congratulated the students for their splendid performance.
