PONDA: A burst in a 250 mm-diametre pipeline in Kerya, Khandepar-Usgao on Monday morning has led to the wastage of thousands of litres of water and caused a shortage in Usgao and parts of Khandepar, even as locals are celebrating the Ganesh festival.

Khandepar resident Sandeep Parkar reported that the pipeline burst occurred near NH 66. He criticised the government for failing to incorporate utility ducts for laying cables, water lines, and power cables when creating the new four-lane road, which he believes contributed to the issue.
