PANJIM: The Goa Yogasana team brought laurels to the State at the 6th Junior and Senior-C National Yogasana Championship 2025, held in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, recently.
Pampamdevi, a talented athlete, clinched a bronze medal in hand balancing and a silver medal in forward bending yoga in the Senior C category. Other notable performances were demonstrated by Senior C athletes Prashant Wagadre, Kalpesh Mulgaonkar, Brahmanand Gaude, Sonali Kotharkar and Prarthana Naik, who showcased impressive skills in yogic poses and in different yoga events.
The junior team members, including Aman Naik, Rafik Karadgi, Arif Khan, Mihir Alavani, Sahana Neugi, Priya Bind, Tanuja Bogvekar and Purva Gawade also demonstrated remarkable flexibility and balance to put up a commendable performance, showcasing their talent and potential.
The national championship saw participation from teams across States and Union Territories of India, making the competition fierce and prestigious. The Goa Yogasana team’s performance is a testament to their hard work and dedication.
The team manager Hema Chopdekar and Yogasana Sports Association of Goa (YSAG) President Sulakshana Sawant and General Secretary Sandesh Barazankar congratulated Pampamdevi and the entire team on their remarkable achievement and wishes them continued success in their future endeavours.
The championship was organised by the ‘Yogasana Bharat’ – organisation recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Governmnet of India and is associate member of the ‘Indian Olympic Association in association with the Andhra Pradesh Yogasana Sports Association.
