Two senior officers of the Goa Police, DySP Vishwesh Karpe and PI Laxi Amonkar, have received the Kendriya Grih Mantri Dakshata Padak, a national honour for exceptional policing and professional excellence.
DySP Karpe was recognised in the Investigation category for his leadership in solving a sensational murder case involving a minor boy under the Calangute Police jurisdiction. His supervision ensured the case was handled swiftly and efficiently.
PI Laxi Amonkar was awarded in the Intelligence category for providing crucial information that led to a major NDPS operation. The raid resulted in the seizure of drugs worth 43 crore, marking a significant breakthrough in Goa’s fight against narcotics
