An inquiry committee headed by retired Justice Ashim Kumar Ray has been constituted by the West Bengal government to probe the disorder at Salt Lake Stadium during Lionel Messi’s Kolkata visit. As reported by India Today’s Anirban Sinha Roy, the panel visited the venue where fans allegedly ransacked the premises on December 13. Event organiser Satadru Dutta was produced in the Bidhan Nagar court amid claims of mismanagement and ticket prices touching Rs 50,000. Meanwhile, the BJP launched protests against the state government over the incident.
