A 50-year-old woman was burnt alive while her husband sustained serious injuries after their motorcycle collided head-on with a pickup truck, triggering a massive fire that engulfed both vehicles, police said on Sunday.
According to Manoj Kumar, the accident occurred at a crossing when the motorcycle collided with the pickup, and the impact trapped the couple beneath the truck. The resulting blaze spread quickly, leaving the woman dead at the scene.

The deceased was identified as Renu Mishra (50), while her husband, Girija Shankar Mishra (52), a resident of Amwa village, was rescued by locals and rushed to Maharshi Devaraha Baba Medical College for treatment.
Her body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and police said the exact cause of the accident is under investigation.
