Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have increased the prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by ₹42 to ₹53.50 across various cities with effect from June 1, bringing additional costs for businesses that rely on commercial cooking gas.
The latest revision applies to commercial LPG cylinders commonly used by hotels, restaurants, eateries, and other commercial establishments. The price increase varies from city to city, ranging between ₹42 and ₹53.50 per cylinder.

However, in a relief for households, the prices of domestic LPG cylinders used for cooking have remained unchanged. Consumers using subsidised and non-subsidised domestic cooking gas cylinders will continue to pay the existing rates.
The periodic revision of LPG prices is undertaken by oil marketing companies based on factors such as international fuel prices, exchange rates, and market conditions. Commercial LPG cylinder rates are generally revised on the first day of every month.
The latest hike is expected to increase operational costs for businesses in the hospitality and food service sectors, which are among the largest consumers of commercial LPG cylinders.
While commercial users will bear the impact of the revised rates, domestic consumers have been spared any increase for the time being, providing some stability in household cooking gas expenses.
