Five Cows Killed, One Critically Injured After Truck Hits Herd at Verna Industrial Estate; Police Probe Underway

Five cows were killed and another sustained critical injuries after a speeding truck allegedly ploughed into a herd of cattle at the Verna Industrial Estate (IDC) in a shocking hit-and-run incident.

Following the incident, DSPCA-South Officer Raj, along with members of Shree Parshuram GauBhoomi Saustha, Gauraksha, and the Dhyan Foundation, rushed to the scene to provide first aid to the injured animal and ensure the safety of the remaining cattle.

Verna Police were immediately informed about the incident, prompting a team led by the Police Inspector of Verna Police Station and Police Sub-Inspector Bhoomkar to launch a targeted pursuit in an effort to trace the vehicle and identify the driver involved.

Police have initiated an investigation into the incident, and further details are awaited as the probe continues.
