Empty Tanker Veers Off Road and Gets Stuck in Mud at Padi, Canacona; No Injuries Reported

An empty tanker truck veered off the road and became stuck in the muddy roadside area after the driver reportedly lost control while negotiating a sharp turn at Padi in Canacona.

According to the driver, the incident occurred when a four-wheeler approaching from the opposite direction allegedly attempted to overtake another vehicle on the curve, creating a potentially dangerous situation.

In an effort to avoid a head-on collision, the tanker driver said he swerved towards the edge of the road, causing the vehicle to leave the carriageway and become bogged down in the mud.
