Former Bicholim MLA Naresh Sawal has raised concerns over the planning and future utility of the government administrative building currently under construction in Bicholim, questioning whether key facilities have been adequately designed.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, Sawal expressed doubts about various aspects of the project, including the proposed auditorium, parking facilities and the location of the Deputy Collector’s office situated in front of the building.
He also questioned whether the administrative complex would be fully utilised once completed, stating that the government should ensure the project meets the long-term needs of the public and government departments.
Sawal said he has submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant highlighting his concerns and urging the government to review the planning of the project.
Emphasising the need for proper infrastructure planning, the former MLA said administrative buildings should be designed with future requirements and public convenience in mind to ensure their effective use.
