Benaulim MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas on Wednesday inaugurated a newly constructed futsal ground at Novo Vaddo, Sernabatim, Colva, developed under the MLA-LAD scheme.
The facility, constructed at a cost of around ₹60 lakh, is aimed at providing local youngsters with a dedicated space to play, train and participate in futsal and other sporting activities.

Speaking at the inauguration, Viegas said efforts would also be made to develop a pickleball court in the area, which would add another sporting facility for residents and youth.
The new futsal ground is expected to encourage more youngsters to take up sports and provide them with better opportunities to train and participate in sporting activities within the constituency.
The facility is part of efforts to improve sports infrastructure and promote greater participation in sports among young people in the Benaulim constituency.
