Bonderam 2026 celebrates Goa’s tradition

Bonderam returned bigger and brighter on August 22, bringing together Goan tradition, local talent, music, food and the much-awaited spectacle of its iconic float parade.

The 42nd Bonderam brought Diwar alive with a vibrant celebration of Goa’s people, culture and traditions. The festival featured a float parade, traditional flag march, and fancy dress competition, along with live entertainment by Double R, Seven Notes Band and Skeltron.

Bonderam 2026 began with a brass band making its way around the village, stopping at prominent spots to perform music and awaken the village to the festive spirit. The main function began with the president declaring the festival open, followed by the traditional flag march and the All Goa Fancy Dress Competition.

The float parade featured all six wards Each float spanned over 200 feet and had almost 150 participants. Floats were judged on theme, presentation, costume, dance and music. Each ward also presented original music composed for the festival.

The celebrations concluded with a felicitation ceremony for top-ranking students, followed by live entertainment and a dedicated food corner.
